SEBS Academy

Preparing Young Learners for a Successful Start in School

SEBS Academy

The SEBS Academy-School Readiness Program is designed for children ages 3-6 who need additional support in developing the foundational skills necessary for a successful transition into a traditional school setting. This structured program focuses on essential areas such as communication, group instruction, social interactions, following routines, early academics, and independent skills. Using evidence-based ABA strategies, we provide individualized support to help children build confidence and readiness for a classroom environment. Through small group instruction and hands-on learning, children gain the skills they need to thrive in a school setting while fostering independence and a love for learning.

Social Skills Groups

Helping Kids Build Confidence, Connection, and Communication—Together

Social Skills Groups

SEBS social skills groups provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals, to develop and practice essential social interactions with peers at the same level. Led by trained RBTs and BCBAs, these groups focus on teaching communication, cooperation, problem-solving, and friendship-building skills through guided activities, role-playing, and real-life scenarios. Participants learn to navigate social situations, interpret social cues, and build meaningful connections with peers in a safe and encouraging setting. These groups help enhance confidence and independence, preparing individuals for successful interactions in school, community, and everyday life. They are also a blast for all who participate and have fostered many lasting friendships.

Adult Services

Empowering Adults with ABA to Enhance Independence, Vocational Success, and Community Engagement

Adult Services

SEBS provides ABA services for adults to support the development of essential life skills, increase independence, and improve social and vocational abilities. These services are tailored to the unique needs of each adult, focusing on areas such as communication, job readiness, daily living skills, and community integration. ABA therapists use evidence-based strategies to promote positive behaviors, enhance problem-solving skills, and support personal goals. Whether at home, in the workplace, or in the community, these services empower adults with autism and other developmental disabilities to lead more independent and fulfilling lives. We work closely with the client's caregivers or support persons in order to provide services that can be maintained and generalized into the client's everyday life.

Caregiver Collaboration

Partnering with families so progress continues at home

Caregiver Collaboration

Caregiver collaboration in ABA is essential for promoting the generalization of skills beyond therapy sessions. Active involvement from caregivers ensures consistency in implementing strategies, reinforcing positive behaviors, and supporting skill development in real-life settings.

By working closely with SEBS professionals, caregivers learn effective techniques to encourage independence, communication, and social skills at home and in the community.

Community-Based Learning

Practicing skills in real-world settings

Community-Based Learning

We teach and reinforce skills in natural settings, helping learners apply behaviors in everyday situations, like practicing communication at a grocery store, learning safety skills in a park, or improving social interactions in public spaces.

Our therapists work alongside learners and their caregivers so skills generalize beyond structured sessions into daily life.

In-Home Support for Current Clients

Generalization support for families already enrolled

In-Home Support for Current Clients

For families already enrolled in our clinic programs, we provide in-home support focused on generalization, making sure the skills a learner builds at the clinic carry over to home routines.

In-home services are not currently offered as a standalone program for new clients; families throughout East Tennessee travel to our Morristown and Oak Ridge clinics.
